At one time skateboarding was not even considered a sport, but it has come a
long, long way since the early days when roller skate wheels were bolted to
two by fours. These days skate parks seem to be everywhere, skater magazines
seem to be everywhere, and it's not uncommon to see skateboarding
competitions and exhibitions on TV.
